Three Jobs, One Building

Early in 2018, we were tasked with completing the shell & core of a building as well as two of the interior buildouts. Although we’ve done this type of work before, building different phases of a project with different end clients required precise coordination. For each client, we created a customized solution with different components. The gallery below showcases a specific need from each client. We completed all three projects in 2018.

McCormick Place

For a project this large, there were many considerations. During the shell and core part of the project, we had to understand how the end space was going to be used in order to make sure that it was built out correctly. The customer needed an electrical contractor that could build out the space to be as flexible as possible for future events and conferences. We were able to see the project from conception to completion. This project was completed in 14 months.

Guaranteed Rate Field

This project was unique. Along with being the sports venue of one of our favorite Chicago teams, we had to consider the multi-use space as we helped construct and renovate the field. Along with the field itself, there are restaurants, retail, and luxury entertaining spaces. Plus, there are spaces that host the players, providing spaces for them to practice and recoup. But, we also had to consider the lighting of the field for the viewers physically present and the digital viewers. To accomplish optimal lighting, along with all the build outs happening of hospitality venues within the field, we hand-focused over 600 light fixtures to make sure the field was covered from all angles. We finished the project in 18 months and it was completed in 1991.

Nobu Hotel Chicago

For this project, the hotel was taken out of the ground and the customer needed an electrical contractor that could handle both the shell & core as well as the interior buildout. Being built in the West Loop area, the hotel promises an unforgettable experience with 115 rooms & suites. This project is ongoing, but we’re looking forward to seeing its completion.
